Some rain is to be expected since the weather is unpredictable; we recommend you bringing light rain gear. March and April are usually humid months.

Can I reserve with a credit card?

Only by bank transfers through your outfitter. We require a 50% deposit of the basic hunt to reserve the dates. The rest is due 90 days prior to the hunt and the balance plus any extras can be paid at the ranch once the hunt is over. All this will be detailed on the hunt invoice.

How far in advance should I book my hunt?

March and April hunts (red stag roar) are normally booked one year in advance. The furthest you can book your hunt is one year in advance.

Deposits are not refundable. If you need to cancel your trip, the booked dates can be rescheduled and rolled over to the next hunting season with no fees or penalties. The deposit and pricing conditions are honored at 100% value.

THE HUNT

Can I bring my own gun?

Yes, there’s a form that must be completed before travelling and certain fees that must be paid at the airport. Most importantly, additional time will have to be allotted for the domestic flights and to clear airport security. Muzzleloaders, semiauto rifles and suppressors are not permitted. We strongly recommend not to bring your firearm due to possible loss of domestic flights/bus. We have a variety of suitable calibers to rent at the farm.

What is the success ratio?

It depends on the species to be hunted with rifle: Red stag 70%, Blackbuck 60%, Wild goat: 70%, wild boar: 80%, Water Buffalo 60%. Bow hunting drops to half or less % of success.

What is the temperature like?

You can expect temperatures of approximately 25 – 70 degrees (F), depending on the time of year.

Approximately how much game will be seen each day?

Every day you should see shootable game, although Quiñi Malal is an open range farm.

Is the hunt guided or self-guided?

All of the hunts are 1x1 or can be shooter and companion plus guide.

Do I need a hunting license?

Yes. This will be arranged by the outfitter upon your arrival. Cost for the hunting license is USD 200 (could be changed by authorities without notice).

Are there snakes at the ranch?

SUSEQUENT TO THE HUNT

Will you assist me with all the formalities related to my trophies?

Yes, of course. We strongly recommend exporting your trophies at a later date, the cost will depend on the size, height and weight of the crate to be exported.

Do you assist hunters with getting the trophies back home?

Yes. We will ship the antlers and hides to the exporter/forwarder in Buenos Aires approximately 30 to 60 days after the hunt. At that point we will put the hunter and his broker in touch with the exporter so they can settle the final details of the export documents and shipment. We will oversee the whole process. Expect the trophies to be shipped 4-5 months from the end of the hunt.

How will the trophies be shipped?

Trophies can be shipped bleached, and hides salted/dried for taxidermy in the US.
